The Wanderer was created in the first of my three graphic communications courses, where we were challenged with crafting the identity, branding, and associated collateral for a boutique hotel in a specific location. Drawing inspiration from Tuscon, Arizona, nestled in the heart of the Sonoran Desert, I embraced the region’s Southwestern charm. This influence is evident throughout my designs, including the illustrations and brand patterns that make up The Wanderer’s identity. Additionally, The Wanderer’s identity is brought to life through a mascot that embodies the spirit of exploration and hospitality that defines the brand.

Emphasizing relaxation, nature, and outdoor activities, the hotel’s offerings include ‘Scents of the Sonoran,’ a collection of toiletries infused with the essence of the desert landscape, as a way to create an even more relaxing atmosphere for guests. The range includes everything from shampoo and conditioner to room spray and incense, enhancing the sensory experience for guests.

To further enrich guests’ understanding of Tucson’s rich heritage and natural wonder, I developed a comprehensive field guide booklet. Serving as both a hotel brochure and a source of local knowledge, it offers insights into the city’s history and hiking trails and provides a space for personal reflections on one’s adventures.
